Dre Massicotte will be discussing about spermograms at the next meeting of the Société Québécoise de Biologie Clinique
Dre Masssicotte, vice-president and laboratory director at Nasci, will be presenting a clinical case at the next meeting of the Société Québécoise de Biologie Clinique which will take place October 31st 2013. This case is about a patient for which the traditional post-vasectomy spermogram performed in another mediacl laboratory has not been efficient enough to detect the presence of live spermatozoa and the associated risks of pregnancy. His wife became pregnant.
Dre Massicotte will aslo present the clinical performances of the new post-vasectomy spermogram by flow cytometry as it is performed at Nasci and which was, in this case, able to provide the clinical explanation. As she discusses this case, Dre Masssicotte will speak about why the traditional post-vasectomy spermogram has been eliminated from the service offer at Nasci to be replaced by the post-vasectomy spermogram by flow cytometry.
