Back from the Réseau Québécois en Reproduction meeting
Dre Lyne Massicotte and myself took part in very interesting discussions along with many collegues who are researchers in the field of biology of reproduction at the last meeting of the RQR.
Many people were interested in learning more about the advantages of Nasci’s new post-vasectomy spermogram and its efficiency.
At the front of the picture, Dr Olivier D’Amours presents his experimental results concerning proteins which are important to bovine spermatozoa functions. At the back, Dre Lyne Massicotte is providing details about the clinical performance of the new post-vasectomy spermogram from Nasci to Dre Catherine Lachance.
Numerous discoveries caught my attention. In particular, I remember of the poster from Krista Zeidan and her colleagues from Dr Armand Zini laboratory. Krista was presenting a very interesting method to select the best spermatozoa form an ejaculate for IVF or ICSI while minimizing potentially detrimental handling methods. The meeting program is available here and Krista’s abstract is on page 62.
We are sure that these discussions will lead to more interactions in the future and that sperm analysis will continue improving at Nasci for the benefit of the patients.
